fWo Application - August 2001

It appears I may have been slightly incorrect in date stamp. This is my first known archived application to the fWo. I have two more after this. I could have sworn I crappily tried to apply around the time I applied(and got into) the IWO. But who knows where that is. Probably in my netscape mail account and unrecoverable.

History/Bio:

Flyer was born on December 17th, 1975 to the family of Joseph and Sarah Harmen in a local hospitol in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was a celebration, the second born to the Harmen family, and after long deliberation, Jack Michael Harmen was decided to be his name. But with any celebration, there were drawbacks. Jack would have to be raised on the road, mainly because his father was a touring wrestler, mostly around the japanesse area. With this, Jack and his brother Jake were raised up in a wrestling household, along with Jack's sister Tammy, born two years later. The family seemed content traveling the world wrestling, until a faithful dramatic accident in the ring took Joseph Harmen's life, and causing Sarah to crack, committing suicide.

The three children were sent back to America to live with their grandmother, who was semi-senial at the time, meaning that the three children fended for themselves. Of course, with their parents death, Jack went into a severe depression that was odd for a child at the lively age of seven. He became a social outcast, a low grade scholar, and became just going through the motions. He didn't really get into drugs or anything because of his young age, but it still wasn't a good time. Until he met Kate, in seventh grade in one of those crazy chance meetings. Slowly, Kate and Jack began a friendship that lured him out of his depression filled state, and began to show the joke cracking, witty clever person. Grades rose, friendships bloomed, and many other things happened in his life that are all pretty much thankful to this one person who took the time in her life to help another person. She stopped his attempts at suicide by just being there for him, and that's something that Jack can never forget.

After high school, Jack had a decision to make. To join the collegant force, or head into a career that he desired, wrestling. After training with his tutor Jeremy Odessa at age 16, Jack was ready to join a promotion when he graduated from high school, but he was skeptical to follow his dream. In a decision that changed his life, Jack packed his bags and went to Mexico to wrestle in the AAA.

While Kate persued her education, Jack was working in AAA, without a word of spanish in his vocabularity, and very little experience. Needless to say, he wasn't an initial success with the promotion, but after hard work and spanish lessons, Jack began to wow the crowds, so much that they wanted to know his name. Jack had been nameless to the Mexican audience, and never really carved out the name for the fans to see, until a chance tournament called the High Flyer's tournament. It was perfect, and Jack eventually went on to win it, calling himself after the rare hard to find tournament. High Flyer was born.

Winning the match with the moonsault, Flyer gained a huge following for the move and the character and style he was developing. Eventaully, a scout called him up, and Flyer was ready to come back to American. He lost a retirement/mask match against Lyger, Flyer's career versus Lyger's mask, as Flyer came back to America and wrestled the independants. Flyer also came back to America to met his love, the love of his life, Kate once more. Eventually, they somehow wound up together when she found out about his career, and she became his manager late in his independant career.

After touring the indies for about a years time and trying to develop his character, Jamie Kosoy of IWO Fame called him into his office, and brought him to the "main stream." That isn't to say everything was fine and dandy, but Flyer made a long and prosperious career out of the IWO. Slowly developing a character and a cult following, Flyer began to change from the traditional heel he once played, into a face near the end of 1999. Flyer began to go around without any common sense and would try to sell people snow. He resembled fan favorites Joey Rappaport and Mad Max in many respects, and the fans took a liking to him. Slowly, he began to gain more respect, and even won the world title for a short sting in 2000, shorter than Yokozuna's reign at Wrestlemania 9. Eventually, Flyer formed a tandable tag team with Tony Davis, named Team V.I.A.G.R.A., which became legendary around the IWO circle by holding onto the tag team titles for well over 5 months.

Even though more known for his jovial side than not, Flyer does have a serious side, and it exists extremely well in the ring. Known to be a superior face around the leagues of the IWO, he wishes to take his game to a whole different level. A whole change of pace. A new arena.

Character Appearance: Hair:His hair is long and straight, at least, long for a man of his size and stature. It lies at about his shoulder, but will continue to grow as Flyer has no desire to cut it. The long straight, curl-less hair has two streaks down from the tip of the forehead, all the way down to the base of the back, one with red, and another with blue. They can clearly be seen, jutting out of the dyed blonde.

Upper Body:His build is ripped, however un-muscular. Almost twig like in appearance would be the best way to describe it, but yet, it's a strong twig, one that won't snap under insurmountable pressure. He wears no t-shirt to cover his upper body inside the ring, however at times will come down with a t-shirt of a jacket of some sorts promoting his current gimmick before the match. Outside of the ring, he usually is in some sort of street clothes. As for wrestling ring attire on his upper body, he has black arm bands about halfway up on his forearm, and long elbow gloves that are padded and stiched apart in a circular cris-cross pattern. They are the color of his tights, which are usually redish. He also where's a pair of clover gloves(gloves without the fingers) of the same color. He also has two tattos, one on his left arm that says "Greatest Crusier Weight", and another on his right arm that is the symbol located on Flyer's homepage image,

Lower Body:His lower body can easily be descriped as the center of his muscularity, lowering his center of gravity even further. His tights have a base color of red, with bright white lightning bolts streaking each side, hovering around like a crazy thunderstorm. On the right leg, we see the words "Snow Man" written in what seems to be a jovial face, along with a knee brace on his left leg, due to a re-occuring injury Flyer has occured to his leg, stiring from a missed attempted Moonsault from a cage in Early 2000. His boots match the tights color, and then fade to a Vshape, with the outside turning into a black. It's a sort of fade effect, a gradient type motion.

Skin/Face:He has a small tanned colored skin, but the tan seems to be rather evan all around, minus of course, his buttocks and genital area, where a bathing suit would be drapped over. He has no true hair showing, except for the possible upper arm hair. As for his face, he has a thin goatee which wraps around his mouth, connecting a small beard and a full moustache. His goatee is black, which is what color the original color Flyer's hair was, before it was dyed bright blonde. He is very young, for being 25, and has no real noticable scars, surprisingly enough.

Ideas:

If accepted, I'd love to become a part of the Crusier Weight division. I haven't been in a federation with a Crusier Division in ages, and it'd be a welcome change. Throw in the fact that I love the whole Quicksilver Monte Burns thing that's going on.
